American Vet Schools

If you intend to study in the US and work in North America, please make note of which schools are AVMA accredited.

If you attend a school that is not AVMA accredited you will spend a lot of work, time (at least one to two years), and money to be able to work in North America. Some schools are accredited by AVMA and the Royal College of Veterinary Medicine which will open up options to work in the commonwealth or EU. Before applying abroad, be sure to check prices. Many schools are charging $40,000+ to attend school for one year. you’ll have to apply through AAVMC’s Veterinary Medical College Application Service to apply for Veterinary schools accredited by the AAVMC.
